| BERNIE WORRELL Bernie was a child prodigy who began studying piano at the tender age of three, performed this first Classical Concert at age four, and performed with the Washington Symphony Orchestra at ten. His classical studies included private lessons at the Juilliard School of Music, before he entered the New England Conservatory of Music, majoring in Classical Piano. Simply stated, Bernie Worrell is a Master Keyboardist, a founding member of Parliament/Funkadelic and keyboard wizard whose liquid lines deftly steered P-Funk straight to the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame. Besides this critically-acclaimed tenure with Talking Heads, Bernie's long list of collaborators has included Keith Richards, Buckethead, Jack Bruce, The Pretenders, Bill Laswell, The Last Poets, Les Claypool (Colonel Claypool's Bucket of Bernie Brains), Dave Stewart, and Gov't Mule. |
